Sådan spiller du Globle

Globle is a daily geography puzzle. Guess the mystery country in 6 tries on an etched paper globe. Each guess paints the country with a heat colour — blue when far away, burning red when close — plus the exact distance in kilometres and a compass arrow toward the target. After you solve, four bonus rounds open on the same globe: Capital, Flag, Neighbours, and Bigger?. The country of the day is the same for every player worldwide — only the interface translates, the answer doesn't. If you know globle-game.com or worldle.teuteuf.fr, this is the same daily ritual, in 80+ languages eventually, with bonus rounds layered in. Free, no account.

How Globle works

Globle chooses one mystery country per day, the same for every player worldwide — the UI translates into your language, but the answer does not. You guess countries by name and each guess paints that country on the paper globe with a heat band: blue when the country is more than 5,000 km from the target, yellow between 1,000 km and 5,000 km, orange between 250 km and 1,000 km, and burning red when it's within 250 km.

Alongside the heat colour, every guess shows the exact great-circle distance in kilometres and a compass arrow pointing toward the target. Triangulating from two or three guesses usually narrows the answer to a single continent; the heat colour then zooms you in. This pairs the two signals that globle-game.com and Worldle each use in isolation.

After you solve (or run out of guesses), four bonus rounds unlock on the same globe — Capital, Flag, Neighbours, and Bigger? — each layering one extra fact about today's country. Bonus completion is folded into your share grid so friends can see how many bonuses you cleared on the same puzzle.

Tips og strategi

1
Start with a continent anchor

Open with a large country on a continent you suspect — Brazil, Russia, Australia. The heat colour and arrow narrow the hemisphere fast.

2
Bisect with the arrow

If guess 1 points NE and guess 2 points SW, the answer is between them. Pick a country that splits the gap to halve the search space.

3
Watch the colour, not just the km

Heat bands are calibrated to feel evenly informative. Two yellow guesses mean 'right region'; one orange after that means 'almost there'.

4
Use local names

The matcher accepts 'Türkiye', 'Côte d'Ivoire', 'Suomi'. Native names sometimes match faster than the English ones.

5
Don't forget the bonus rounds

Solving the country is the main puzzle, but Capital, Flag, Neighbours and Bigger? all add to your share grid.

What is Globle?
Globle is a daily geography puzzle. You guess countries by name, and each guess paints the country on an etched paper globe with a heat colour — cold blue when the country is far from today's mystery, burning red when it's nearby. You also see the exact distance in kilometres and a compass arrow pointing toward the answer. You have 6 guesses.
How is it different from globle-game.com or Worldle?
Globle on Wordle Global ships in the same daily ritual format as globle-game.com (heat colour on a globe) and Worldle (distance + compass arrow) — combined into one game with both signals on every guess. After you solve, four bonus rounds layer on the same globe (Capital, Flag, Neighbours, Bigger?) — neither competitor has ever shipped this. Eventually multilingual; today English. Free, no ads.
Is the country the same in every language?
Yes. Globle's daily mystery country is the same for every player worldwide. Only the user interface translates — the answer doesn't. This is different from classic Wordle, where each language has its own daily word.
How is the country chosen?
A deterministic hash of the day index picks one country at random from a pool of 197 countries drawn from Wikidata's sovereign-state list. Every country is equally likely, including small or obscure ones — those days are deliberately educational.
How are disputed territories handled?
We follow Wikidata's sovereign-state list as canonical. Globle's pool includes Taiwan, Palestine, Vatican City, and Kosovo — broadly the set recognised by the UN or major cartographic references. Non-sovereign disputed regions (e.g. Western Sahara, Crimea) are drawn on the globe where applicable but aren't in the daily pool. We aim to be neutral; corrections welcome via the in-app feedback link.
What are bonus rounds?
After you solve (or fail) the main puzzle, four bonus rounds unlock on the same globe — Capital, Flag, Neighbours, and Bigger? — each adds a fact about today's country. Bonus completion shows up in your share grid as 🏛 🚩 🤝 📊 icons.
Where does the map data come from?
Country borders, rivers and the graticule come from Natural Earth (public-domain cartography used by NYT, BBC, The Economist). Country metadata — names per language, capital, flag, neighbours, population, area — comes from Wikidata. Both are open data sources re-ingested from source when our dataset pipeline runs.
Is Globle free?
Yes. Globle is completely free, with no account, download, or ads during gameplay. The same daily country, same bonus rounds, same globe — for every player worldwide.
