Type the clue numbers of any nonogram. Next step decides one cell and says why; Solve draws the whole picture.
How do I enter a nonogram?
Type each row's numbers from left to right, then each column's from top to bottom, separated by spaces. Leave a line blank, or type 0, when it has no filled cells.
How does the nonogram solver work?
Line by line: for each row and column it finds the cells that every possible placement of the clue fills, or leaves empty, and repeats until nothing changes. Where the lines stall, it tries a cell both ways.
Can it show me just the next step?
Yes. Next step decides one cell and names the reasoning (counting the room in a line, the overlap of a run's two extreme positions, or the whole line), with that line highlighted.
Does it solve Picross, Griddlers and Hanjie puzzles?
Yes. Picross, Griddlers, Hanjie and Paint by Numbers are other names for black-and-white nonograms, and their clues work the same way.
What if my clues have more than one solution?
The solver says so and shows one picture. A well-made nonogram has exactly one; a second one usually means a clue was mistyped.
Does the solver know today's puzzle?
No. It solves only the clues you type in; today's puzzle is on the Nonogram page.
