Mathle (Math Wordle) is a daily math equation puzzle. Guess the hidden 8-character equation in 6 tries. Each guess must be a valid equation — exactly one =, no leading zeros, integer arithmetic with standard order of operations. After each guess, tiles light up Wordle-style: green (right character, right position), yellow (in the equation, wrong position), gray (not in the equation). The equation of the day is the same for every player worldwide — digits and operators are universal. If you know nerdlegame.com, this is the same daily ritual, free, no account, no ads during play.

How Mathle works

Type your first equation

Tap digits 0-9 and operators + − × ÷ = on the on-screen keyboard, or use your physical keyboard (* and / map to × and ÷). Build any valid 8-character equation — exactly one =, no leading zeros, integer arithmetic.

Read the colour clues

Each tile turns green (right character, right position), yellow (in the equation but wrong position), or gray (not in the equation). The on-screen keyboard mirrors the same colours so you can track which digits and operators are still in play.

Solve in {maxGuesses}

Narrow in over six guesses. Win by matching the exact equation. The puzzle is the same for every player today — share your result when you finish.

Integer arithmetic only — no decimals, no negative results. Standard precedence (× ÷ before + −). Exactly one = per equation.

1
Open with operator-rich guesses

Spending a guess like 12+34=46 only tests + and digits. Try a guess with × or ÷ early so you eliminate operators alongside digits — they're 4 of the 14 possible characters.

2
Lock the = position fast

There's exactly one = and only six positions it can occupy (positions 4-7 are most likely given the grammar). A green = locks where the answer starts.

3
Yellow digits move

A yellow 7 means there's a 7 somewhere — possibly in the answer, possibly in the operands. Test new positions for it on the next guess rather than repeating.

4
Watch the keyboard, not the board

The keyboard merges colours across all guesses and is the fastest reference for what's still possible. Greyed-out digits drop your search space dramatically.

What is Mathle?
Mathle (Math Wordle) is a daily math equation puzzle. You have 6 tries to guess a hidden 8-character equation — digits 0-9 plus the operators + − × ÷ and exactly one =. After each guess, tiles colour Wordle-style: green (right character, right position), yellow (in the equation, wrong position), gray (not in the equation).
How is it different from Nerdle?
Same daily-equation format you know from nerdlegame.com — same 8-tile grid, same six guesses, same colour rules. Mathle ships under a different name to avoid the Nerdle trademark, and it sits inside Wordle Global's wider 80-language hub. The puzzle itself is universal — digits and operators are the same in every language, so every player worldwide gets the same equation today. Free, no account.
What counts as a valid equation?
Exactly 8 characters total. Exactly one =. No leading zeros (so 07+8=15 is invalid; 0+8=8 is fine). Integer arithmetic — no decimals (9÷2 is invalid because the result isn't an integer). No negative results, including intermediates (3−7 is invalid because it's negative). Standard order of operations — × and ÷ before + and −, left-to-right within each tier.
Is there an unlimited mode?
Yes. Visit wordle.global/en/mathle?play=unlimited for endless random equations. Your daily streak is tracked separately from unlimited results, so you can practice freely without breaking it.
Is the equation the same for everyone?
Yes. Mathle's daily equation is the same for every player worldwide. Only the user interface translates — the puzzle doesn't. This matches Globle's model and differs from classic Wordle, where each language has its own daily word.
Is Mathle free?
Yes. Completely free in every language, no account, no download, no ads during gameplay. Same daily ritual, same equation, for every player.
