How Scale works
Every day there are five rounds, the same for every player. Each round is a spectrum between two ends — slow and fast, bland and flavourful — with 0 at one end, 10 at the other, and a target somewhere from 1 to 9.
Name something that sits at the target. A judging model reads where most people would put your answer, and the needle swings to that spot. Anything real counts; only gibberish is turned back.
Each round scores up to 100 by how close the needle lands: 100 on the target, 20 fewer for every step away. After each daily round you see where everyone else's answers landed.
Tips & Strategy
The needle follows what most people think, not the cleverest reading.
Ends are easy; a 5 wants something genuinely in between.
A specific thing lands more precisely than a broad category.
Numbers and positions are turned back. Name an object, an animal, a food or a person.
After a daily round, the dots show where others landed — a quick read of how people see that spectrum.
