How to Play Mini Sudoku
Mini Sudoku is a daily 6x6 sudoku. The grid is divided into six 2x3 boxes, and every row, every column and every box must end up holding the digits 1 through 6 exactly once. Fourteen cells arrive pre-filled; the rest are pure deduction. Pick a cell and tap a digit to place it, or switch to Notes and pencil in the candidates you have not ruled out yet — placing a digit automatically clears it from every cell it rules out, the bookkeeping you would otherwise do by hand. A repeated digit outlines the instant it appears, so there is no check button to press. Every board is run through a solver before it ships and only boards with exactly one solution, reachable by simple singles with no guessing, are published. How Mini Sudoku works
Mini Sudoku is sudoku on a 6x6 grid. The grid is divided into six boxes of 2 rows by 3 columns, marked by the thicker rules. Fourteen cells arrive pre-filled; the rest are yours to deduce.
One rule runs the whole game: every row, every column and every 2x3 box holds each of the digits 1 to 6 exactly once. That is the same rule as a 9x9 sudoku, applied to a grid small enough to finish in a few minutes.
Input is select-then-type. Tap a cell, then tap a digit on the pad or press 1-6 on a keyboard. Notes mode turns the same keys into pencil marks, so you can record the candidates a cell still has. Committing a digit clears it from the notes of every cell it rules out - the bookkeeping a paper solver does by hand.
Repeats outline the moment they happen rather than waiting for a check button, so a wrong branch costs you seconds instead of minutes. Cells sharing a row or column with your selection are tinted, which is what turns a scan into a glance.
Every grid served here is run through a solver first. Only grids with exactly one solution, reachable by simple singles with no guessing, are published - so if you are stuck, there is always a cell that one row, column or box alone decides.

Tips & Strategy
A 2x3 box holds six digits. Reading off which ones are absent is faster than checking each empty cell against the whole grid, and on a 6x6 it very often finishes the box outright.
Rather than staring at a cell, pick the digit that already appears most often and place every remaining copy of it. Each placement narrows the next, and a 6x6 grid only needs six of each.
If two cells in the same row, column or box can only take the same two digits, those two digits belong to that pair. Every other cell in that unit can drop them from its notes.
Pencilling every candidate in every cell buries the grid. Mark only the cells that are genuinely down to two or three options - those are the ones a later placement will resolve.
A digit on the pad dims once all six copies are placed. A glance at the pad tells you which digits are still in play without counting the grid.
If a digit already sits in one of a box's two rows, every copy of it left in that box has to go in the other row - three cells, minus whatever the columns already rule out. On a 6x6 that alone usually names the cell.
